Anarita Botelho, M.A.

Foreign Language Faculty

  • MA in French Literature

Ms. Botelho currently teaches Spanish and Italian in upstate New York. She worked overseas for over 15 years as an instructor of several languages. Botelho has also interpreted and translated from Portuguese to English, French, and Italian, as well as Spanish. In 1979, she was awarded a Humanitarian Award by UNICEF (United Nations – Food Department for Children) for her courageous acts throughout the civil war in Angola. During her career, Ms. Botelho has volunteered her time by teaching ESL to Latin American children and adults for the past 10 years. She has also contributed to women’s shelters and a suicide prevention hotline.

Professional Experience

  • Ms. Botelho has been an instructor at the college and university levels since 2010.

  • MA in French Literature with 18 credits towards a PhD
