SOC 385 Etiquette and Rapport

Individual course cost: $1,251

This course provides a comprehensive study of etiquette for the business professional, with insights into the different customs followed in countries outside the United States. This course will equip students to apply the basic rules of etiquette for conversation, greetings, introductions, handling of business cards, diplomatic methods, manners, issues related to proximity, telephone manners, professional appearance, gift giving, taboos, and social events.

Prerequisite (or equivalent):

The course learning outcomes that you will demonstrate upon completion of this course are as follows:

Utilize information technology resources to apply the course content to the context of strategic security.

Explain proper etiquette and the basic actions of politeness in social situations or events.

List the rules of both formal and informal etiquette

Explain proper social interaction for formal and informal situations as encountered by a security professional

Demonstrate through written communication how to integrate in the work force without posing any potential social liability to a client
