Michael Corcoran PhD., President of the University, Co-Founder Dr. Corcoran is former agent of the United States Secret Service (Protective Intelligence Division). He is also the founder of The Workthreat Group, LLC of Newport Beach, California. Dr. Corcoran is one of the country's foremost authorities in threat assessment and work place violence and consults regularly with numerous World Fortune 500 companies. Dr. Corcoran has authored and published books and articles on the subjects of high risk security and threat assessment.   He earned his Ph.D. in Behavioral Science received 1979 from Newport University, Newport Beach, CA. He is the author of Violence Assessment & Intervention: The Practitioner's Handbook 2003, CRC Press.  This book is considered a standard on the subject of workplace violence prevention.
