Dr. Tamara Mouras is a former member of the U.S. Navy. From 1994-1998, she served as an Operations Specialist & Master-At-Arms abroad the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) and was a member of the U.S. All Navy Track & Field Team. As an Operations Specialist, she maintained navigational electronic devices which included radar and target tracking instruments. While serving in the U.S. Navy, she was able to attend and complete CIC/ECCM Operations Schooling (Electronic Counter Terrorism) and held a secret clearance.

Dr. Mouras’ teaching interests include International and Domestic Terrorism, Ethnic and Cultural Diversity, Ethics in Justice, Violence and Gangs, Law Enforcement Management, Extremism Ideology, Radicalization Process, Violent Crime, Political Science, Criminalist, Criminology, Criminal Procedures, Critical Issues in Criminal Justice, Victimization and Qualitative Methodology. Dr. Mouras’ research interests include radicalization process, lone wolf radicalization, violent extremism, criminology, prison radicalization, and domestic terrorism.
