As the Dean of Henley-Putnam University’s Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies Program, Amanda Morrow-Jensen designs and implements new programs and policies pertaining to Counterterrorism, oversees course curriculum growth, and ensures students focusing on Counterterrorism and Terrorism Studies are fully prepared to apply their education to the real world.

A seasoned educator and policy development professional, Morrow-Jensen came to Henley-Putnam from her post as an adjunct faculty member of Counterterrorism and Intelligence at both Granite State College and American Military University. Morrow-Jensen is also a long-time instructor at Henley-Putnam University and has designed and taught a variety of courses on Media, Terrorism, Information Operations, and Religious Extremism.

Prior to her work in education, Morrow-Jensen spent almost a decade developing foreign policy as a Foreign Service Officer for the US Department of State in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Washington DC. In 2003, Morrow-Jensen served as the East Asia Policy Advisor to the Deputy Secretary of State during the North Korea nuclear tests crisis. More broadly, for several years, Morrow-Jensen worked as a political-economic expert, analyzing and reporting on macroeconomic environments, international investment climates and anti-money laundering and counterterrorism finance efforts and their impact on US business and security. Her efforts led the Department of State to the forefront of foreign investigations, increasing strategic security methods within our nation and abroad. Morrow-Jensen is the recipient of numerous honor awards in foreign policy and is an active contributor to several Washington, DC think tank publications.

Amanda Morrow-Jensen earned her M.S. in Strategic Intelligence from the National Defense Intelligence College in Washington, D.C. in 2005 and her BA in International Relations and Spanish Literature and Language from the University of Virginia in 1999.
