Lewis, Kim McLeroy (MIM)

Intelligence Management

Kim McLeroy Lewis spent most of her 20-year career in an undercover life in the CIA.  She teaches courses in basic intelligence, intelligence analysis, and tradecraft, among other subjects. Most of her Agency career was spent as a case officer on counter terrorist missions for the Counterterrorism Center, including service as the CIA’s counterterrorism referent to USCENTCOM and USSOCOM.  Ms. Lewis worked closely with the FBI, Customs, Secret Service, and other domestic and foreign law enforcement agencies on bombing, kidnap, money laundering, and terrorism investigations against Osama bin Ladin, Palestinian groups, the FARC of Colombia, and Peru’s Shining Path. Today Ms. Lewis often works with the news media, contributing to foreign affairs pieces for both print and television.  Among her areas of special expertise are HUMINT, tradecraft, Intelligence Community management, and the economics of terrorism. She is a sought-after consultant, analyst, and military trainer with a major defense contractor. Her specialty is instruction for US military interrogators and case officers, and for US and foreign law enforcement officers working counterterrorism. Ms. Lewis received a master's degree in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona in 1978.
