REFINE YOUR SKILLS, ADD NEW SKILLS,
LEARN A NEW AREA OF EXPERTISE
Henley-Putnam University’s certificate programs are designed for individuals who are currently involved in the field of Strategic Security, a field that is comprised of intelligence, counterterrorism, and protection management, or for those who wish to get involved in these dynamic fields. These are the same courses and the same faculty as in our degree programs. Earning an intelligence certificate or counterterrorism certificate, among other options, is a great way for students to gain a better understanding of one particular area of security and intelligence studies without having to commit to an entire degree program, and the courses transfer into the appropriate degree programs.
WHY EARN A CERTIFICATE?
Students who already have earned bachelor or advanced degrees find that completing the certificate program allows them to explore an area of study that may be new to them as well as specialize in that area.
Students new to Strategic Security can take courses to see what the program is like without committing to an entire degree program.
All courses carry 4.5 quarter units of credit. The four courses taken by students who otherwise meet the degree admissions requirements may be able to be applied towards the degree program. Contact an Admissions Coordinator for more information.
Applying to Henley-Putnam University is a no hassles three-step process:
- Contact an Admissions Coordinator who will discuss your career goals with you over the phone and complete your paperwork.
- Review, sign and return the completed forms.
- Receive your admissions decision from the Enrollment Committee once admissions materials are all received.
Qualified applicants will have completed high school or its equivalent and be at least 18 years old.
The University requires an official high school transcript or official transcript from highest degree prior to starting classes. The Admissions Coordinator will order the transcript on your behalf.
