James P. Killin, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Killin joined Henley-Putnam in January 2006 as CFO and COO and became CEO in March of 2009. Mr. Killin has been involved in management of start-up and early stage organizations for more than 25 years. Prior to joining Henley-Putnam, Mr. Killin was CEO /President of several software and healthcare companies including MetrixPro, Anamatix, EHI, HCC, and Cygnet. Mr. Killin started his career at Touché Ross.


Nicole Lesher, Director of Educational Compliance

Mrs. Lesher joined Henley-Putnam in 2006. She has over 20 years experience working in the field of Education. This experience includes classroom teaching, operations management, student services, compliance and curriculum development. She held the position of Chief Operating Officer at California College for Health Sciences and has helped numerous schools gain accreditation and comply with state regulations. She has served as an evaluator for the Distance Education and Training council, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges as well as the California, Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education. Mrs. Lesher received a B.A. in English from San Diego State University and a M.A. in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.

Dr. Amy DiMaio, Dean, General Education

Amy DiMaio has a doctorate in English Literature from Kent State University, a Master’s in English from St. Bonaventure University, a Bachelor’s in Philosophy, also from St. Bonaventure University, and a certificate in Distance Education from Indiana University.  Amy DiMaio has served as Associate Dean of General Studies Online, Associate Campus Dean of English and Foreign Language Online, and full-time online English faculty at Strayer University.  Prior to her work at Strayer, she served as Associate Professor of English and Director of the Honor’s Program at Trocaire College in Buffalo, NY.  DiMaio has published in Simone de Beauvoir Studies, in A Theodore Dreiser Encyclopedia (ed. Keith Newlin), and in Modernity in East-West Literary Criticism (ed. Yoshinobu Hakutani).  Dr. DiMaio has experience in curriculum development, faculty development, and student services.


Dr. Linda Florence, Dean, Strategic Security and Protection Management and Doctorate in Strategic Security

Ms. Florence has over twenty years of experience as a practitioner in senior level security and human resources leadership positions with Fortune 500 organizations, including the Vice President / Director of Corporate Security & Fraud, and senior management positions in the financial services, telecommunications, transportation and casino resort industries. She teaches courses in white collar crime in the Strategic Security and Protection Management program at Henley-Putnam University. Linda has been teaching at the college level since 1990, and was one of the primary architects of the current security certification program through ASIS International. Most recently, Linda was responsible for physical security and infrastructure protection for a Fortune 50 telecommunications company, and has consulted on numerous security systems design projects.

Ms. Florence is the co-author of the “Banking & Financial Services Security” chapter in the Loss Prevention Handbook and is a frequent contributor to professional journals. She is a sought after speaker on professional development and security convergence topics to business and law. Ms. Florence is very active in volunteer leadership for ASIS International, currently serving on that association’s Board of Directors, and is a Foundation Board Trustee and has held regional and national level positions for the past fifteen years.

Ms. Florence received her MS in Psychology from Capella University and in 1990 became a Certified Protection Professional. She had recently completed her PhD program in Industrial and Organizational Psychology with an emphasis in workplace violence.

Dr. Ronald J. Graham, Dean, Intelligence Management

Dr. Ron Graham served several years in the U.S. Army, and most recently served in Afghanistan as a Law Enforcement Professional with the 19th Military Police Battalion Criminal Investigation Division (through 2011). He was selected for the USMC Joint Prosecution and Exploitation Center (JPEC) Tactical Site Exploitation Mobile Training Team (MTT) for Southern Afghanistan (RC-S), he traveled to several Combat Outposts and Patrol Bases in the Helmand Province, and trained Marines in Tactical Site Exploitation techniques. He also enabled complex investigations relative to Taliban Insurgents and facilitate evidence throughout Southern Afghanistan.

His experiences in strategic security run wide and deep:  besides his contributions with the U.S. Army, his background includes the Sheriff’s Department, Police Academy leadership, academic leadership working both as an FCC Criminology Professor and as a UNLV Director, global high-visibility corporation facilities security direction (Planet Hollywood), and crisis-zone law enforcement and security operations (Iraq and Afghanistan).  He has also supervised several large projects for the DHS during his career of service to our country.

Dr. Ron Graham holds a BA in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento; a MS in Criminology from California State University, Fresno; and a Ph.D in Organization & Leadership/International Multicultural Education from University of San Francisco.

Amanda Morrow-Jensen, Dean, Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies

As the Dean of Henley-Putnam University’s Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies Program, Amanda Morrow-Jensen designs and implements new programs and policies pertaining to Counterterrorism, oversees course curriculum growth, and ensures students focusing on Counterterrorism and Terrorism Studies are fully prepared to apply their education to the real world.

A seasoned educator and policy development professional, Morrow-Jensen came to Henley-Putnam from her post as an adjunct faculty member of Counterterrorism and Intelligence at both Granite State College and American Military University. Morrow-Jensen is also a long-time instructor at Henley-Putnam University and has designed and taught a variety of courses on Media, Terrorism, Information Operations, and Religious Extremism.

Prior to her work in education, Morrow-Jensen spent almost a decade developing foreign policy as a Foreign Service Officer for the US Department of State in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Washington DC. In 2003, Morrow-Jensen served as the East Asia Policy Advisor to the Deputy Secretary of State during the North Korea nuclear tests crisis. More broadly, for several years, Morrow-Jensen worked as a political-economic expert, analyzing and reporting on macroeconomic environments, international investment climates and anti-money laundering and counterterrorism finance efforts and their impact on US business and security. Her efforts led the Department of State to the forefront of foreign investigations, increasing strategic security methods within our nation and abroad. Morrow-Jensen is the recipient of numerous honor awards in foreign policy and is an active contributor to several Washington, DC think tank publications.

Amanda Morrow-Jensen earned her M.S. in Strategic Intelligence from the National Defense Intelligence College in Washington, D.C. in 2005 and her BA in International Relations and Spanish Literature and Language from the University of Virginia in 1999.

Nancy Reggio, Director of Admissions

Ms. Reggio joined Henley-Putnam after a distinguished career at St. Mary’s College of California where she worked as the Director of Admissions and Recruitment and Assistant Director, Operations. In addition, her responsibilities included staffing, budget, equipment and facilities during the teach-out of the BA degree completion programs. As Director of Recruitment she managed a multi-million dollar budget. Ms. Reggio holds a MBA with a Marketing emphasis and a BA in Management from St. Mary’s College of California, which she received in 1994 and 1985, respectively.
