Henley-Putnam National Accreditation - DETC
Henley-Putnam, a premier university for online higher education in the strategic security industry, is accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) (http://www.detc.org). The Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency and is a recognized member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Henley-Putnam was founded in 1991. DETC first accredited Henley in January 2007. DETC is the premier accrediting authority of distance learning serving more than 100 accredited institutions worldwide including the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, and U.S. Marine Corps distance training institutes. Today, over 3 million students around the globe are served by DETC member institutions.
Thousands of companies listed on the DETC website have provided tuition assistance to employees who have been students at DETC institutions. Institutions include major Fortune 500 companies such as defense contractors, technology companies, and financial institutions.

Henley-Putnam Regional Accreditation
Henley-Putnam University has applied for Eligibility from the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). WSCUC has reviewed the application and determined that Henley-Putnam University is eligible to proceed with an application for Initial Accreditation. A determination of Eligibility is not a formal status with WSCUC, nor does it ensure eventual accreditation; it is a preliminary finding that the institution is potentially accreditable and can proceed to be reviewed for Initial Accreditation with WSCUC. The first visit for achieving Initial Accreditation must take place within five years of being granted Eligibility. California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education
Henley-Putnam University has been awarded full institutional approval to operate as a private degree granting institution by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Full institutional approval is the highest status awarded by the State of California. Such approval indicates compliance with minimum state standards and does not imply any endorsement or recommendation by the state or by the Bureau.
