San Jose, CA, September 11, 2009 ― On Thursday, September 17th at 10 A.M. (PT), Henley-Putnam University will be sponsoring a teleconference on “Careers in Corporate Security” given by Robert Dodge, Vice-President of Pinkerton Consulting and Investigations, West Division. Mr. Dodge will outline his career path as he transitioned from the Navy to a career in corporate security, including his work on investigations and risk/vulnerability/threat assessments in numerous countries. He will also discuss the advantages of obtaining further education and/or a degree in the field of strategic security.

There will be a brief Question & Answer session following the teleconference.

About the Presenter

Mr. Dodge has been involved in security, investigations and security consulting for nearly 18 years. He also served honorably in the U. S. Navy. Dodge’s investigation experience includes stints with a large multinational high-tech corporation as a Corporate Investigator. He has also worked for a contract investigation firm providing investigation and security consulting services on a global level to corporate clientele based in Silicon Valley. Dodge’s security experience includes working with American Protective Service as a Regional Manager and then the Securitas Group as a Vice President in Northern California. In his current role as Vice-President Western States he is responsible for managing Pinkerton’s operations for the Western U.S. and client needs globally. During his career, he has conducted and managed numerous investigations and security consulting projects around the world. He has operated on security & investigative projects in more than 50 countries around the world. He has special expertise in corporate investigations and risk/vulnerability/threat assessments.

Mr. Dodge has been designated a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) by ASIS International and is a Licensed Private Investigator and Private Patrol Operator (PPO) in the state of California and a Licensed Private Investigator in Washington State.

Mr. Dodge serves on the ASIS International committee for the development of international risk assessment guidelines and standards and is a constituent with the State Department Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC).
