Robin Thompson, DM
Robin Thompson is a former USAF Security Forces military officer and civilian Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). She currently is an independent security consultant in the private sector. Dr. Thompson teaches courses in intelligence, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, leadership and criminal justice.
Dr. Thompson began her USAF career in Security Forces, serving as a flight commander at Ellsworth AFB, SD and a defense force commander for the Ground Launched Cruise Missiles at RAF Greenham Common, UK. As a Special Agent with AFOSI, she served in numerous law enforcement and counterintelligence field positions. Dr. Thompson also performed AFOSI duties as an offensive counterespionage operations case officer, was the headquarters Antiterrorism Services Team Program Manager, and was the AFOSI liaison to the Joint Intelligence Task Force-Combating Terrorism (JITF-CT) at the Defense Intelligence Agency. As the AFOSI Information Operations Program Manager, Dr. Thompson was instrumental in establishing AFOSI’s counterintelligence presence in USAF information operations doctrine and mission capabilities.
Dr. Thompson left AFOSI in 2005 and moved to the Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia where she is an independent contractor and performs investigations for various federal government agencies.
Dr. Thompson has a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Minot State University and received her Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. She is also certified as a Chief Information Officer from the Information Resources Management College at National Defense University and is a graduate of the Air Command and Staff College and Air War College.
