Program Description
The Master’s Degree in Management of Personal Protection is earned by satisfactory completion of an online program equivalent to a year and a half of full time post-graduate study. This program emphasizes professionalism, proactive strategies, and the benefits of lifetime learning, safety and preparedness. It unites proven successful management practices with proven methods for meeting a wide variety of security and protective services to individuals and businesses. All courses are four and one half credit hours unless otherwise noted.
Program Objectives
Graduates of this program will be able to:
- Conduct protection operations in a team leadership or management role
- Plan and carry out advanced surveillance and countersurveillance operations on potential threats to a client
- Display a detailed knowledge of protective security law and conduct operations that will not expose the agent or the client to legal or civil liability
- Work with and protect high level clients at the diplomatic level
- Perform sophisticated analysis and evaluations of possible threats to a client
- Respond as appropriate to emerging threats to a client
Master of Science, Intelligence Management
Program Description
The Master’s Degree in Intelligence Management is earned by satisfactory completion of an online program equivalent to a year and a half of full time post-graduate study. This program emphasizes professionalism, proactive strategies, and a thorough understanding of the dynamics of the broad field of intelligence. It provides for high-level development of skills in intelligence analysis, counterintelligence, collection management, and intelligence operations. All courses are four and one half credit hours unless otherwise noted.
Program Objectives
Graduates of this program will be able to:
- Manage a team of intelligence professionals from different disciplines
- Conduct operations that include clandestine or covert activities
- Display the ability to integrate different forms of digital information into an intelligence operation
- Present finished intelligence in a manner appropriate to the client, including hostile clients
- Understand and apply issues of policy, reform, and intelligence ethics
Master of Science, Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies
Program Description
The Master’s Degree in Terrorism and Counterterrorism is earned by satisfactory completion of an online program equivalent to a year and a half of full time post-graduate study. This program emphasizes professionalism, proactive strategies, and a thorough understanding of the terrorist strategies and dynamics. It also provides for the advanced knowledge of how to deal with terrorism to adequately protect life and property. All courses are four and one half credit hours unless otherwise noted.
Program Objectives
Graduates of this program will be able to:
- Plan and conduct counterterrorism operations in a team leadership or management role
- Show an advanced understanding of current terrorist threats including cybernetic attacks and threats involving weapons of mass destruction (WMD)
- Develop and conduct advanced intelligence collection programs
- Identify and distinguish between different types of terrorism according to the ideology of the terrorists
- Perform sophisticated terrorist threat assessments
